CHAPEL HILL, N.C.- The University of Kentucky Lady Kats finished the Lady Tar Heel Invitational in 10th place, after shooting a team-total of 308 on the final day of the tournament.
Jenny Dugan shot a 4-over-par 76 on Sunday, finishing with a three-round total of 225, tied in 17th place.
Duke captured the Lady Tar Heel Invitational title for the second year in a row, shooting a 10-under-par 854, 36 strokes ahead of second-place North Carolina. The individual title went to Candy Hannemann of Duke, who shot a 212 for the three-day event.
Other Lady Kat scores include Chanda Day’s 234, which put her tied for 33rd place, Towa Okiyama’s 238, tying her for 45th, Jenny Throgmorton’s 249, placing her tied for 72nd, and Kristen Pepe’s 252, tying her for 76th. The Lady Kats will return to play at the EKU Invitational in Richmond, Ky., on Oct. 16-17.
