The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team is ranked No. 18 in theIntercollegiate Tennis Association’s poll released on Tuesday, March 9.

The Cats (8-2, 3-2 SEC) jumped from the No. 23 spot and moved inside thetop 20 for the first time since the 1995 season.

On the singles side, UK’s Massoumeh Emami comes in at No. 29 and ChristySigurski jumps 21spots to No. 64.

The Wildcats’ doubles tandem of Emami and Kelly Brown also made the poll,coming in at No. 15.

The Cats, coming off an upset of No. 14 Arkansas, will return to thecourts on Saturday, Mar. 13, when they travel to Columbus, Ohio, to take onOhio State.
