LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky men’s tennis team jumped five spots in thelatest Intercollegiate Tennis Association Rankings, released Tuesday.

The Wildcats (7-3, 0-1 Southeastern Conference), who had been ranked No.26, rose to 21st in the country.

Singles player Carlos Drada rose from No. 35 to No. 27 in singlesrankings, while Johan Hesoun made his first appearance in the rankings atthe No. 99 spot.

UK’s No. 1 doubles team of Hesoun and Patrik Johannson also broke into thedoubles rankings at No. 47.

The Cats’ next match is March 17 at No. 11 South Carolina.
