AUBURN, Ala. – The 15th-ranked University of Kentucky men’s tennis team (14-5, 2-2) fell to16th-ranked Auburn (9-3, 1-2), 6-1, Monday.

The Tigers notched the first match point after taking two of three matches in doubles play. Kentucky sophomore Carlos Drada and freshman Edo Bawono defeated Auburn’s Marcel Mizerski and Christian Limbart 8-3 to prevent the sweep.

In singles play, Kentucky claimed its only match point after sophomore Johan Hesoun defeated Limbart 6-4, 6-2.

The Wildcats return to Lexington after a four-match spring break road trip.

They will next see play at Mississippi State on March 29.
