The Lady Kat golfers finished the Lady Paladin in 14th place, 59 strokes behind first place Georgia.
Freshman Towa Okiyama finished tied for 32nd place after hitting a 5-over-par 77 on the last day of the tournament, giving her a three-round total of 237. Sophomore Jenny Throgmorton completed the tournament right behind her in 35th place, also shooting a 77 and finishing with a three-round total of 238. Other Lady Kat scores from the third and last day of the tournament include junior Jenny Dugan’s 81, Kristen Pepe’s 81 and Chanda Day’s 87.
First-place finisher Robin Cook of Auburn shot a 1-under-par 71 on the final day of the tournament to push her back into first-place for the tournament. This score included a hole-in-one on the 16th hole. The Bulldogs of Georgia held onto first-place for the third day to end the tournament with a 905 team-stroke total. The Lady Kats will head to the Memphis Women’s Invitational on Nov. 1-3 for their last tournament of the fall season.
