ATHENS, Ga. –University of Kentucky men’s tennis player Cedric Kauffmann fell to Louisville’s Michael Mather 6-2, 6-2, in round two of the NCAA Individual Tournament Thursday.

This is the final match of Kauffmann’s senior season at UK. Kauffmann’s overall season record is 33-16.

Kauffmann, ranked fifth in the nation, advanced to the second round after he defeated Tulsa’s Gareth Williams, 6-3, 6-3 on Wednesday. The NCAA Individual Tournament continues through Sunday when the championship match will take place at Georgia’s Dan Magill Tennis Courts.
