BALTIMORE – Two University of Kentucky Wildcats saw action in the T. Rowe Price National Clay Court Tournament this week in Baltimore, Md. UK sophomore Edo Bawono defeated Kevin Morris of Loyola, 6-0, 6-0, in the first round of pre-qualifying on Saturday. He then advanced to face Luis Rosado of James Madison, who he defeated 6-2, 3-6, 6-4, on Tuesday. In the third pre-qualifying round, Bawono outlasted Johan Varvarud of Old Dominion, 4-6, 6-1, 6-3.

Bawono then fell in the first qualifying round on Tuesday, losing to Martin Jirak of TCU, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4.

The only other Wildcat competing in the tournament, freshman Gustav Pousette, was defeated in the first round of the main draw on Thursday. Eighth-seeded Brian Vahaly of Virginia beat Pousette 6-1, 6-0.
