BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of Kentucky men’s tennis team defeated No.28 LSU 5-2 on Monday.

Play was continued from Sunday, when rain forced the teams to postpone thematch with the Cats leading 2-1. UK (10-5, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) hadalready won the doubles point and the No. 6 singles match.

When play resumed on Monday, the Cats won three more singles matches. EdoBawono clinched the victory for UK with a 6-0, 6-7, 7-6 win at No. 5 singles.

With the loss, LSU falls to 8-5 overall, 3-3 in the SEC.

UK will try to continue its winning ways when Auburn comes to town onTuesday. The Cats and the Tigers face off at 2 p.m. at the Hilary J. BooneTennis Center.
