BUFFALO, N.Y.- The University of Kentucky’s Ola Sesay and Jeff Ellis competed in the first day of the NCAA track and field Outdoor Championships on Wednesday, June 3.

Sesay recorded a mark of 6.10 meters in the women’s long jump. The ninth place finish earned her the title of All-American for the second time in her freshman year. Sesay also won All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships. The top eight American finishers in an event are rewarded with All-America titles. Sesay will compete in the women’s triple jump on Friday, June 5.

Fellow freshman Ellis had an impressive showing in the 400-meter hurdles placing tenth, while recording a time of 51.37.
