The University of Kentucky women’s soccer team will try to bounce back from its loss to No. 8 Vanderbilt on Wednesday as the Cats travel to Dayton, Ohio, to face the Flyers at 7:30 p.m.

UK ‘s 3-2 loss to Vandy on Sunday broke a five-game winning streak for the Cats, who had shut out three of those five opponents. Senior Carrie Staber leads UK (8-6-2, 5-3 Southeastern Conference) with six goals and three assists on the season, while junior Jen McMaster has four goals and four assists. Goalkeeper Carrie Kuhnell boasts a 1.06 goals-against average and five shutouts.

In their last outing, the Flyers (12-4, 8-1 Atlantic 10 Conference) shut out Virginia Tech, 2.0. Freshman Jen Lucas leads Dayton with nine goals and five assists, while senior Renee Harmeyer has seven goals and 11 assists.
