LEXINGTON, Ky. – Brad Cresse hit two home runs for the second time in the series and 6th-ranked LSU took advantage of a season-high five Kentucky errors to win easily 11-6 Sunday in the final game of the three-game series at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
All five UK (11-16, 3-9) miscues occurred in the first four innings, helping LSU get out to a 8-1 lead. UK starter Matt Borne (2-2) allowed seven hits and eight runs, four of which were earned, in four innings of work.
LSU (25-7, 10-2) struck for three runs in the first inning thanks to two Wildcat errors. Jeremy Witten led off the game with a single and stole second.
