LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s tennis team faces a tough battle on Wednesday, March 17, when the Wildcats travel to Gainesville, Fla., to face the top-ranked Florida Gators.

The 18th-ranked Cats (8-3, 3-2 SEC), are coming off a disappointing loss at Ohio State on March 13, while the No. 1 Gators (13-0, 4-0 SEC) are riding a 40-match win streak.

Florida, the defending NCAA champions, have never lost an SEC dual match at home, a span of 88 matches. UF has won 50 consecutive home matches overall, with its last loss coming on March 17, 1994.
