Dougie Allen, Fr., WR

On Mississippi State

“We watched film last week and we have a pretty good idea of what theyll do. When youre a receiver, you pretty much just read plays and adjust to whoever you are playing.”

On his role

“I just go out every day and try to do the best I can to help my teammates. Being here is just a dream come true for me.”

Garry Davis, So., WR

On Mississippi State

“They’re a tough team. They are big and strong and they hit you really hard. It will definitely be a challenge.”

On recuperating during the off week

“The off week did a lot to heal people. We had a lot of guys who were injured and needed that time to heal. Theyre doing a lot better now.”

On WR Quentin McCord

“With his speed and his talent, you cant double-team Craig [Yeast]. They have to worry about him, too. With Quentin on the other side, that helps Craig, and vice versa.”

On playing behind Craig Yeast

“Its hard being behind an All-American, but thats my role and I understand that. Hes taught me a lot, like how to take the good with the bad. Hes taught me all the things a senior should teach.”

Jason Watts, Sr., C

On Tim’s decision to remain at UK for his senior season or turn pro

“It’s not something we talk about as a team. It’s Tim’s decision and at some point he’ll have to sit down and decide for himself. Right now, though, he’s focused on the rest of the season just like the rest of us.”

On the MSU defense

“This is a tough game for our line. Their coach throws in some crazy plays out there and we have to be ready for that. They would rush eight or nine guys at times last year. We’ve had a week to study film, so I think we’ll be okay.”
