University of Kentucky men’s soccer player Lee Baker has been named Mid-American Conference Player of the Week.

Baker, a junior defender from Spring, Texas, registered game-winning goals in both of Kentucky’s MAC wins last week and anchored a defense that posted shutouts in both MAC contests.

With Baker’s help, the Wildcats have improved to 9-8 and are in second place in the MAC with a 5-1 conference mark.

The Cats return to conference action on Thursday when the Miami Redhawks (4-13, 1-6 MAC) travel to the UK Soccer Complex to face the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m.
