The University of Kentucky men’s soccer team will begin its Mid-American Conference schedule Friday, when the Wildcats travel to Huntington, W.Va., to take on Marshall.

UK struggled early in the season, but appear to be hitting stride as the conference schedule begins. The Wildcats (4-5) are currently riding a four-game win streak, and can tie a three-year-old school record with another victory. During its current streak, UK has outscored its opponents 10-3.

Marshall stands in the way of the Cats’ record attempt, and should prove a formidable foe. The Thundering Herd currently boasts a 5-3-1 record and a Great Lakes Region ranking of No. 9.

“Marshall is a good solid team,” Coach Ian Collins said. “We’ll be in for a fight.”

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
