Jeff Ellis finished in second place in the finals of the 400-meter hurdlesat the Drake Relays Saturday. His personal best time of 51.27provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Championships on June 2-5 inBoise, Idaho.

Matt Kavanagh finished in second place in the hammer throw with a toss of219 feet, 11 inches. Teammate Jamie Shannon finished 10th in the eventwith a throw of 182-04.

In the triple jump, Shevan Threats finished in second place with a leap of40-11.

Lutisha Shittu finished in sixth place of the 100-meter hurdle finals witha time of 14.58. In the preliminaries, she finished first in her heat witha time of 13.80.
