IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Kentucky men’s golfer Jeremy Langley claimed co-medalist honors at the Intercollegiate Jack Moyers Cup, which concluded Sunday.

Langley shot a final round 73, giving him a three-round tournament total of 216 and tying him for first place and medalist honors. As a team, UK combined to shoot an 881, finishing second in the 12-team tournament and just four strokes behind team-champion Wisconsin at 877. Joining Langley in the top 10 was Wes Furnish, who fired an even-par final round 71 and finished in eighth place with a 219. Chris Mueller was just two shots behind Furnish, shooting a 221 after a final round of 72 and finishing in 12th place. Other UK scores were a 226 by Ryan Rieckhoff, good for 28th place, and a 232 by Ron Layman, who finished tied for 48th. The UK golfers return to action October 5, when they travel to Franklin, Tenn., for the Legends Intercollegiate Invitational.
