LEXINGTON, Ky. – University of Kentucky men’s tennis player Patrik Johansson was named tothe GTE Academic First Team All-District for men’s spring sports. The teamconsists of athletes from the spring sports of golf, lacrosse, tennis andtrack.

Johansson, a native of Halmstad, Sweden, graduated No. 1 in his class witha degree in finance. He played No. 1 doubles for the Cats with teammateJohan Hesoun, where the duo compiled a 14-11 record.

The GTE Academic All-District Team is part of the GTE Academic All-Americaprogram. Johansson will now appear on the national ballot for the GTE Men’sSpring Sports At-Large Team.
