AKRON, Ohio – The University of Kentucky men’s soccer team’s win streak was stopped at seven on Sunday, as the Wildcats fell 4-0 to Akron.

The game was tied 0-0 at the half before Akron’s Christer Larsen netted a pair of goals early in the second half to give the Zips a 2-0 lead. Akron would add two late goals to bring the final score to 4-0.

With the win, Akron improves to 9-2-1, 3-0-1 in the Mid-American Conference, while UK falls to 7-6, 3-1 in the MAC. The Wildcats will have a week off before traveling to Nashville to take on Belmont next Sunday at 3 p.m.
