Men's Soccer

Six members of the University of Kentucky men’s soccer team have been named to the Mid-American Conference’s Academic Honor Roll.

Jason Bell, a sophomore philosophy major from Louisville, Rick Dengelegi, a senior business major from Holliston, Mass., Billy Dwyer, a psychology senior from Metairie, La., John Hinds, a junior electrical engineering major from Columbia, S.C., David Puckett, a journalism senior from Somerville, N.J., and Michael Strickler, a business management senior from Hudson, Ohio, were chosen for the honor based on their academic performances during the spring semester. To be eligible for the award, players must achieve a 3.5 GPA for the semester or maintain a career GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Bell was further honored by the conference, as he was presented with the prestigious Commissioner’s Award. The award is given to players who have a 3.5 or higher GPA for all collegiate work.
