LEXINGTON, Ky. – The 18th-ranked University of Kentucky women’s tennis team came up shortin its bid to upset No. 17 Wake Forest on Sunday, falling 6-3 at the HilaryJ. Boone Tennis Center.UK got wins from Kelly Brown and Brooke Skeen on the singles side and fromthe duo of Carolina Mayorga and Shannon Stafford in doubles.

With the win, Wake Forest improves to 8-7, while UK falls to 11-7.

The tennis Cats will take a week off before returning to the courts nextSunday, April 11, to take on SEC foe Alabama in a 10 a.m. dual match at theBoone Tennis Center.
