The University of Kentucky men’s soccer team will face its toughest match of the season on Wednesday, when top-ranked Indiana comes to the UK Soccer Complex to battle the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m.

The Hoosiers are atop the College Soccer Weekly power rankings, Soccer America and Soccer News polls and boast a 13-1 season record.

IU is led by goalkeeper T.J. Hannig, who has allowed only four goals on the season. Hannig leads the nation with a miniscule 0.29 goals-against average. The Hoosier’s offense is potent, too, scoring 36 goals on the year.

UK is now 7-7 on the season and stands in second place in the Mid-American Conference with a 3-1 MAC record.

The game will be preceded by “Play Day” for children aged 5-13. The event will feature a free soccer clinic for kids taught by the UK soccer coaches from 5-6 p.m. At 6:00, the participants will be treated to a pizza party provided by Papa John’s. All “Play Day” participants will be admitted to the UK-IU game for free and the first 300 in attendance will receive free Nike tee shirts.
