LAKELAND, Fla. — The University of Kentucky men’s golf team fell to 10th-place after the second round of the Charley Matlock Classic Saturday. The Wildcats are led by sophomore Wes Furnish, who fired a 2-under-par 70 in Saturday’s round. Furnish stands at even-par for the tournament, tied for 16th-place with a two-round total of 144. North Florida’s Felipe Aguilar tops the field with a 7-under 137. The 6,652-yard ImperiaLakes Golf Course hosts the 18-team tournament. Other schools vying for this year’s title are Alabama, Augusta State, Columbus State, Duke, Furman, Florida Southern, Georgia Southern, Illinois, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, Ole Miss, North Florida, Ohio State, Old Dominion, Virginia Commonwealth, Virginia Tech, and Wofford. The tournament concludes Sunday.
