LEXINGTON, Ky. –Freshman Suzie Ledzianowski scored a goal in the second minute of overtime to give the Kentucky Wildcats a 1-0 victory over Southeastern Conference rival South Carolina on Friday night at the UK Soccer Complex.

The game was scoreless at the end of regulation. But at the 91:52 mark in overtime, Ledzianowski put in a shot from the top of the box off an assist from Jen Reese.

The Cats (3-2-2, 2-1 SEC) outshot USC 19 to four. The loss is only the second of the season for the Gamecocks (4-2-1, 1-2-0 SEC). Kentucky closes out this crucial SEC weekend when it hosts the fifth-ranked Florida Gators on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. The game is the first of a doubleheader with the UK men facing Vanderbilt at 3 p.m. Sunday is Family Day at the UK Soccer Complex. Any family of four or more can attend both matches for only $10.
