ATHENS, Ga. – University of Kentucky women’s tennis players Kelly Brown and Carolina Mayorga both fell in the third round of the University of Georgia Invitational on Sunday, Jan. 24.

Brown was ousted by top seed Mirela Vladulescu of Alabama-Birmingham, 6-4, 7-5, and Mayorga fell to fifth seed Janet Walker of Texas, 6-7(9), 6-1, 7-5.

Brown, Mayorga and their fellow tennis Cats return to the courts Saturday, Jan. 30, when the Tennessee Lady Volunteers travel to Lexington for the first dual match of the season. Play begins at noon at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center on the UK campus.
