The University of Kentucky men’s soccer team will host the annual Kentucky Invitational Tournament this weekend at the UK Soccer Complex.

Virginia Tech (1-4-0) and Winthrop (5-0-0) kick off the tournament Friday at 5 p.m., and Kentucky (0-5-0) battles The Citadel (1-4-0) at 7:30 p.m.

The KIT concludes on Sunday with the consolation game beginning at noon and the championship following at 2 p.m. Before the Cats’ Friday night game, UK will host Fan Fare ’98 beginning at 4:30 p.m. The event will feature interactive games, “Velcro Olympics” and a 22-foot inflatable slide. Also, fans will have a chance to win Nike and McDonald’s prizes.

Admission for the Kentucky Invitational is $5 for adults and $2 for children. However, Fan Fare is free to the public and for those attending the fair, admission to the game is $1.
