The University of Kentucky will play host to first- and second-roundcompetition of the 1999 NCAA Mens Tennis Championships on Saturday, May15, and Sunday, May 16, at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center.

The 14th-ranked Wildcats (15-9) face East Tennessee State (18-3) infirst-round action. The Cats fell in the quarterfinals of the SoutheasternConference Tournament, while the Bucs won the Southern ConferenceTournament by defeating Chattanooga.

No. 13 South Carolina (17-11) faces Indiana (14-9) in the otherfirst-round matchup. The two winners will then square off on May 16 for atrip to the NCAA Tennis Championships in Athens, Ga., May 22-30.
