LOS ANGELES – The University of Kentucky gymnastics team took third place at the third annual UCLA Bruin Classic with a score of 191.950. This was the second meet in three days for the No. 22 GymKats. The GymKats posted a season-high 195.275 in their final home meet of the season on Friday, March 5.

“I am rather disappointed in our performance today,” Coach Leah Little said. “After all we have been through, I thought the team would come out and hit their routines tonight. We were doing well until we got to balance beam, and then we fell apart. Until we learn to compete beam, we wont be a good team.”

The GymKats are back in action on Friday, March 12 when they participate in the Auburn Invitational in Auburn, Ala. Other teams included in this meet are Auburn and Pennsylvania.
