LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky gymnastics team, ranked 21st in the countrytook second place at the Governer’s Cup in Charleston, W.V. with a score of192.575. No.20 West Virginia finished first, No. 15 Ohio State took thirdand Rutgers finished fourth.

The GymKats (4-3,0-2) were led by freshman Katie Toups with an all-aroundscore of 38.850. Junior Krissy Hoeferlin finished a close fourth with anall-around total of 38.800.

“We are still positive about the things this team can do,” Coach LeahLittle said. “Katie had a great meet and Krissy and Jennifer continue toput in consistent performances. Our biggest problem right now is that wearen’t putting in our best lineups because of injuries and sickness. Oncewe get everyone healthy, we can only be that much better.”

The GymKats return to action on Friday, Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m., when theytake on the Michigan Wolverines in Memorial Coliseum.
