Craig Yeast is a
Biletnikoff award semifinalist.

 

University of Kentucky wide receiver Craig Yeast has been named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award by the Tallahassee (Fla.) Quarterback Club.

The award, given annually to college football’s top receiver, is named after former Florida State All-American and Oakland Raider All-Pro receiver Fred Biletnikoff.

Yeast was selected as one of 10 semifinalists from a watch list of 33 players. Joining Yeast in the semifinalist pool are Dwayne Bates of Northwestern, David Boston of Ohio State, Troy Edwards of Louisiana Tech, Texas Tech’s Donnie Hart, Torry Holt of N.C. State, Travis McGriff of Florida, Geoff Noisy of Nevada, Peter Warrick of Florida State and Georgia Tech’s Dez White.

Through eight games this season, Yeast has caught 56 passes for 853 yards and a school-record 11 touchdowns.

Three finalists will be selected in mid-November, with the award to be presented on Dec. 10 at the ESPN College Football Awards in Orlando, Fla.
