Eight-Week Summer School Session in Progress: The eight-week summer school session continues through August 6. Several Wildcats are taking classes during the summer term.
Wildcats at Work in Weight Room: Approximately 57 Wildcats are in Lexington for summer school and/or summer strength and conditioning. The players work out in the Nutter Training Center weight room.
Coaches Mix Convention, Vacation Time: This is a popular time for state high school coaches conventions. The UK coaches are visiting conventions and also taking vacation time when available.
Coach Hal Mumme Schedule: On Tuesday, July 21, Coach Hal Mumme will play in a Danville/Boyle County UK Alumni Association golf outing at the Danville Country Club. Following the afternoon of golf, Mumme will speak at a reception at the Danville Country Club at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, July 22, Mumme will be in Jackson, Miss., to attend a convention of Mississippi high school coaches. On Thursday, July 23, Mumme will speak in Greensboro, N. C., at a convention of North Carolina high school coaches. On Friday, July 24, Mumme will be in Nashville, Tenn., at a convention of Tennessee high school coaches.
SEC Football Media Days Set for July 28-30: The annual SEC Football Media Days are July 28-30 at the Sheraton Civic Center Hotel in Birmingham, Ala. Kentucky Coach Hal Mumme and players Kris Comstock and Willie Gary will meet the media on Wednesday morning, July 29.
