LEXINGTON, Kty.–Zurcher to Minneapolis and San Diego: Senior strong safety Jeff Zurcher will have an interesting pair of experiences this week. On Thursday in Minneapolis, Minn., he will be among a team of UK students who will make a presentation in the national finals of the American Advertising Federation collegiate advertising contest. The UK team will be competing against 14 other schools for the national championship.
Following the national competition, Zurcher will fly to San Diego to present a research paper at the convention of the National Syndicated Newspaper Columnists.
UK Coaching Video Available: The Wildcats’ coaching staff has completed a coaching video, “Kentucky Football Passing Game Drills and Techniques.” The video features instruction from the practice field along with game action footage. The 62-minute video covers all aspects of the UK passing game, including quarterbacks, receivers, running backs, and offensive line play. The video costs $49 and may be ordered by writing the UK Football Office, Commonwealth Stadium, Lexington, KY, 40506 or by calling 606-257-3611.
Eight-Week Summer School Session in Progress: The eight-week summer school session continues through August 6. Several Wildcats are taking classes during the summer term.
Wildcats at Work in Weight Room: 57 Wildcats are in Lexington for summer school and/or summer strength and conditioning. The players work out in the Nutter Training Center weight room.
Coaches Working Camps: The Wildcats’ coaching staff is working at the six summer camps and two team passing tournaments, which run from June 10-28.

Air Raid Camp I is for players from age 14 to players who have not yet begun their senior year in high school. . Air Raid Camp II will be held June 17-19. Air Raid Camp II is for players from age 14 to players who have not yet begun their senior year in high school. . The Full Contact Camp will be held June 21-24. The Full Contact Camp is for players from age 14 to players who have not begun their senior year in high school.
Hal Mumme Schedule, in Addition to the Summer Camps: On Monday, June 15, Mumme will play in the Cameron Mills Golf Tournament. That evening, he will speak to the Fulton County UK Alumni Club. On Thursday, June 18, Mumme will speak at a coaching clinic in San Angelo, Tex.
