LEXINGTON, Kty. – – The varsity teams have been assigned for the University of Kentucky Blue/White Spring Football Game, which will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. EDT at Commonwealth Stadium.
The Blue team will be comprised of first-team and second-team players. The White team is comprised of some second-teamers and third-team players.
The Blue team offensive linemen include David Berringer, Matt Brown, Kris Comstock, Aaron Daniel, Jeremy Streck, Jason Watts, and Mike Webster. The offensive backs and receivers are Tim Couch, Garry Davis, Jimmy Haley, Derek Homer, Matt Mumme, Jimmy Robinson, A. J. Simon, James Whalen, Anthony White, and Craig Yeast.
The Blue defensive linemen are Mark Jacobs, Robert Jones, Matt Layow, Marvin Major, George Massey, and Grayson Smith. The linebackers are Marlon McCree, John Rader, and Lee Wesley. The defensive backs are Jeremy Bowie, Willie Gary, Eric Kelly, Marvin Love, and Jeff Zurcher. Jimmy Carter and Seth Hanson will handle kicking duties for the Blue.
The White offensive line includes Nolan DeVaughn, Brad Ferguson, Josh Parrish, Mike Riddle, and Omar Smith. The offensive backs and receivers feature Cheddi Acham, Dusty Bonner, Todd Bunke, Mitt Crowe, Corry Doyle, Andre’ Hayslip, Alex Herman, Mike Kamphake, Quentin McCord, Paul McGonagle, Larry Morris, Jermaine White, and Patrick Wiggins.
The White defensive linemen are Gordon Crowe, Andy Dreisbach, Derrick Johnson, and Brandon White. The linebackers are Gus Jacobs, Teddy Neptune, and Stephan Walters. The defensive backs are Chris Gayton, Kenneth Grant, Brackston Poitier, and Marc Wilson. The kickers will be Marc Samuel and Andy Smith.
Wildcat FanFare Weekend Schedule
Tickets cost $5 each and one ticket is good for all events of the Wildcat FanFare Weekend. Children age eighth grade and younger will be admitted free.
Friday
6 p.m. – UK baseball vs. Arkansas at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
Saturday
11:30 to 1:30 p.m. – The Wildcat FanFare at the Nutter Field House, including numerous activities for children and adults.
2 p.m. – Blue/White Spring Football Game at Commonwealth Stadium. The first quarter will be an alumni touch football game. The varsity begins play in the second quarter.
5 p.m. – UK baseball vs. Arkansas at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
Sunday
1 p.m. – UK baseball vs. Arkansas at Cliff Hagan Stadium.
