FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Kentucky track and field teams travel to the Randal Tyson Track Center for one of the nation’s premier indoor meets, the 2013 Tyson Invitational, beginning Friday on the University of Arkansas campus.

This weekend’s meets will mark the last competitions for the Wildcats before the postseason begins later this month with the SEC Championships. This weekend will be the first of at least three trips the Wildcats make to Arkansas this season as the Tyson Track Center is host site for the conference as well as NCAA Championships.

Live results from the meet will be available at www.flashresults.com, and live video will be provided by the host university with a subscription.

More than 40 colleges and universities are slated to compete at the Tyson Invitational, including seven men’s teams ranked in this week’s national poll.

Friday’s schedule will be divided into afternoon and night sessions with start times of 11 a.m. ET and 5 p.m. respectively. The Saturday schedule has field events set to begin at 10 a.m. while running events are slated for a noon start.

Matt Hillenbrand will compete in the men’s mile for the second-straight week with his race set to begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. He finished sixth with a personal record 4:02.78 in the prestigious Meyo Mile last weekend at Notre Dame.

Hillenbrand bested his previous record time by more than three seconds. His mile time was the fastest in the SEC over the weekend, ranks third overall in the conference this year and is No. 33 in the nation.

The junior won the McCravy Memorial 3,000 meters two weeks ago in a time that is fourth fastest in the SEC this season. He will race at 3K on Saturday.

Keith Hayes, Darryl Bradshaw and Brandon Bagley, owners of the No. 3, No. 7 and No. 12 60-meter hurdles times in the SEC respectively will all seek to better those performances at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Kayla Parker, whose top 60H time ranks fifth in the SEC, is set to race at 2 p.m.

Keilah Tyson will participate in the women’s long jump on Friday at 6 p.m. as her PR mark from two weeks ago ranks fifth in the SEC and 14th in the nation.

Keffri Neal, owner of the SEC’s No. 5 800M time, seeks to improve his top performance at 5:10 p.m. on Friday.

Michelle Canterna, who possesses the SEC’s No. 9 pole vault will begin her day on Friday at 11 a.m.

Rebecca Famurewa will look to top her top weight throw mark of 17.93M, which ranks No. 9 in the conference, at 2 p.m.

On Saturday cross country All-Americans Cally Macumber and Chelsea Oswald will compete in the women’s 3K at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash. Macumber and Oswald own the No. 7 and No. 16 3K times in the nation respectively this season.

Kentucky athletes could also find themselves at either Arkansas or Washington for “last chance meets” in early March.
