AUGUSTA, Ga. – The final round of the Insperity Lady Jaguar wrapped up on Sunday in Augusta, Ga., with the University of Kentucky women’s golf team finishing tied for ninth after posting an 11-over-par, 299 on the final day to finish in the top half of the 18-team field.

Senior Betsie Johnson concluded one of her best tournaments of the year with a 2-over-par, 74 final round, which included 12 pars and two birdies. Johnson’s 54-hole score of 9-over-par was good enough to record her first top-20 finish of the year as she tied for 19th overall.

Senior Ashleigh Albrecht struggled through the first two rounds but responded with a 2-under-par, 70 on Sunday to lead the Wildcats. Albrecht recorded a team-high 13 pars, to go along with two birdies and an eagle on the par-5 sixth hole. She placed tied for 45th at 18-over-par.

Senior Heather Lott and freshman Sarah Harris, who competed as an individual, finished 4-over-par on the afternoon. Lott was 19-over for the tournament and finished tied for 48th, while Harris placed tied for 31st at 13-over.

Freshman Cylia Damerau was 20-over-par for the invitational, tying for 50th and junior Liz Breed finished 67th at 24-over to wrap up the Cats’ scoring.
