LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky track and field team will send a small contingent, which is primarily composed of field competitors, to the Bellarmine Invitational on Saturday.
The action from Owsley B. Frazier Stadium is set to begin at 9 a.m. ET. The first event featuring a Wildcat is will start at 11 a.m.
Michelle Canterna has been a headliner for UK this outdoor season as she was just half an inch away from the school record pole vault clearance at 3.85 meters/12’07.50″ last Saturday. Shelby Kennard, the co-owner of the UK outdoor pole vault record is also scheduled to compete on Saturday.
Joanne Imbert is coming off an outdoor personal record high jump as she cleared 1.71 meters/5’07.25″ last weekend.
Christina Heilman, Patrice Farquaharson and Ryan Ratliff are also slated to compete on Saturday.
The Wildcats host the first collegiate meet on Kentucky’s Lexington campus in more than a decade later in April.
The Heart of the Bluegrass Classic will be the inaugural meet at the new UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex when it is held April 19-20.
