LEXINGTON, Ky. – As the first Kentucky player to receive a singles at-large bid since 2006, 28th-ranked freshman Nadia Ravita will square off with third-ranked Robin Anderson of UCLA on Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET in the opening round of the 2013 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Tennis Singles Championship in Urbana, Ill.

After posting a 20-4 singles record, including 10-3 in Southeastern Conference matches, Ravita received the first singles at-large bid for a Wildcat since Kim Coventry earned one in 2006.

Ranked as high as 22nd nationally during the year, the freshman boasted the highest singles ranking for a UK player since 2006 when Coventry opened the season 15th.

The Jakarta, Indonesia, native has faced two top-five ranked opponents this year, defeating No. 4 Cristina Sanchez-Quintanar in three sets while her contest with top-ranked Lauren Embree of Florida was abandoned in the second set.

Anderson is 28-5 on the year for the Bruins, including 14-5 in the No. 1 singles slot. The sophomore is 15-4 against nationally ranked opponents and helped lead UCLA to the semifinals of the NCAA Championships.
