LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 40 University of Kentucky women’s tennis team returns home for a doubleheader against Marshall University and Morehead State on Feb. 8 in Lexington, Ky. at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center. The first match against Marshall begins at 10 a.m. ET followed by Morehead State at 6 p.m. ET.

Kentucky (4-1) is coming off of a 6-1 win against Penn State University and is looking to keep the momentum going on Saturday. Junior Edmée Morin-Kougoucheff has been the consistency piece for the Wildcats, leading the team in singles wins with four. Paired with freshman Aldila Sutjiadi, the UK duo has a team-high four wins at the No. 2 doubles slot.

Entering Saturday’s match, the Thundering Herd are 3-1 after a 5-2 loss to Virginia Tech. Kentucky is 12-2 all-time against Marshall, and 6-2 during Kentucky head coach Carlos Drada’s era.  The MSU Eagles are 1-3 after losing their last two matches against Marshall and Pittsburgh. Kentucky has won all six meetings against the neighboring school with Drada claiming two of those wins.

Marshall and Morehead begin the six-match homestand for Kentucky before the team heads to Bloomington, Ind. for a match against Indiana University.
