Team Records and Series Notes
- Kentucky is in its 41st season of varsity women’s basketball.
- Matthew Mitchell is in his eighth season as the head coach of the Wildcats. He already ranks first on UK’s all-time wins list with 174 and winning percentage (.716).
- This was the second meeting between Kentucky and Central Michigan. Kentucky now leads the series 2-0 (1-0 at home, 1-0 away).
- Matthew Mitchell is now 2-0 at UK against Central Michigan.
- Kentucky improves to 716-486 (59.9) all-time.
- UK is now 32-4 all-time against teams from the Mid-American Conference and has won 12 straight games vs. MAC teams, dating back to 2001.

First Half Notes
- UK started with the lineup of JenniferO’Neill, Janae Thompson, Kyvin Goodin-Rogers, Bria Goss and Azia Bishop.
- Kentucky is 4-0 with this lineup.
- JenniferO’Neill had the first score of the game, hitting a 3-pointer at the top of the key, followed by a 3-pointer from Janee Thompson to give UK a 6-0 lead.
- Nine of the 10 Wildcats that played scored in the first half.
- CMU got as close as five at 26-21 with 7:43 remaining in the half but UK finished on a 21-7 run to lead 47-28 at the break.
Second Half Notes
- UK began the second half with the same starting five who started the game.
- The Cats led by 16 in the second half before the Chippewas chipped away at the lead. CMU pulled as close as three points twice, the final time with 40 seconds to go in the game. After a missed 3-pointer byO’Neill and rebound by CMU, Jessica Green, who finished with a team-high 16 points, attempted a game-tying 3-pointer with three seconds left but it missed the mark.
- UK was outscored 40-24 in the second half and CMU owned a 26-15 advantage on the boards in the second half.
Team/Game Notes
- For the fifth time in eight seasons of the Matthew Mitchell era the Wildcats have started a season 4-0.
- Tonight marked UK’s eighth straight road win over a nonconference team during the regular season.
- Kentucky is now 70-41 under Matthew Mitchell, including 2-0 this season decided by 10 points or less.
- UK led the entire game from start to finish. UK’s largest lead was 20 points at the 1:12 mark in the first half.
