Statement from Mitch Barnhart on Behalf of UK Athletics

“We are heartbroken by the devastation in Western Kentucky. Our roots run deep for Kentuckians and this tragedy affects so many throughout the Commonwealth.
 
“Over the next few days, our department will work with relief organizations to be part of a collective effort to help those who need assistance now and in the days to come.
 
“As do most of you, our student-athletes, coaches and staff have family and friends impacted by this stunning event. Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost life and those who will continue to find their way through their losses.”
