No. 23 Kentucky Hosts No. 3 Georgia Friday, No. 19 Tennessee Sunday
LEXINGTON, Ky. – This weekend will be jam-packed with ranked matchups, as the No. 23 University of Kentucky women’s tennis team hosts No. 3 Georgia on Friday at 4 p.m. ET and No. 19 Tennessee on Sunday at noon ET, both at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center.
The program will also honor the careers of four seniors 20 minutes before the first serve on Sunday, including Lesedi Jacobs, Anastasia and Diana Tkachenko and Akvile Paražinskaite.
Admission to all home tennis matches is free, and fans are encouraged to attend. Capacity at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center is limited to 50 spectators inside, or 100 spectators outside, and it will be based on a first come, first serve basis. Face coverings, over the nose and mouth, are required for all fans as they enter, exit and move around the building, and all patrons will be required to take a temperature check upon entry.
Free parking options include the three small E-lots adjacent to the facility 1.5 hours prior to first serve. Spectators may also pay to park in the Sports Center Garage (PS No. 7) on the corner of Complex Drive and Sport Center Drive. The cost of parking is $2 per hour, with a $16 maximum.

The Wildcats are 12-3 this season, including 10-2 at home and 4-3 in the Southeastern Conference. Kentucky earned its first nod in the Oracle/ITA Division I Women’s Rankings this week, checking in at No. 23 in the nation. The listing comes less than a week after Kentucky upset Texas A&M in a 4-2 fight at home on Thursday, March 18.
Akvile Paražinskaite and Fiona Arrese are touted as the sixth-best doubles team in the nation after starting the season 12-0, including 7-0 in the league and 3-0 against ranked tandems. The duo is 15-0 all-together, including its 3-0 mark from fall action, boasting the best doubles record in the nation.
The dominant duo will compete in its first top-10 matchup of the season, meeting No. 4 Ariana Arsenault and Katarina Jokic of Georgia on Friday evening. The Dog duo is 5-2 this season, including 3-2 in the league and 4-2 against ranked foes. Jokic is also touted as the No. 1 singles player in the nation.
Georgia is 10-1 this season, including 6-0 in the conference and 3-0 on the road. Its lone loss came to No. 1 North Carolina on a neutral court in January, 4-3. The Bulldogs own the all-time series with the Cats, 36-11. Tennessee is 9-5 this season, including 33 in the conference and 1-4 on the road. Four of its five losses this spring have come against ranked teams. The Volunteers also lead the all-time series with the Cats, 24-20.
