UK Sports Network’s SEC Tournament Preview to Air This Week

LEXINGTON, Ky. – In anticipation of the 2021 Southeastern Conference Tournament, the UK Sports Network will release a special edition of BBN Gameday this week across its television affiliates and online.
 
The BBN Gameday 2021 SEC Tournament Preview, presented by Toyota, is hosted by Christi Thomas and Keith Farmer and gives Kentucky men’s basketball fans a glimpse inside the locker room as the team heads to the postseason.
 
After a year of unprecedented challenges, Big Blue Nation will hear directly from the players on what they have learned and why the feel hopeful heading into the postseason through a players-only conversation between veterans Davion Mintz, Olivier Sarr and Keion Brooks Jr. Head coach John Calipari also sits down for a candid chat with senior guard Riley Welch to explain what he likes about his team as he leads them into the SEC Tournament in search of the program’s 32nd league tournament title and seventh under his direction.
 
The BBN Gameday 2021 SEC Tournament Preview premieres in Lexington on Monday at 7:30 p.m. on WLEX. It also premieres digitally at the same time on UKathletics.com and the Kentucky Wildcats Facebook page.

Throughout the Kentucky men’s basketball postseason, the UK Sports Network radio coverage remains the same. The Don Franklin Auto Countdown to Tipoff pregame show, hosted by Dave Baker and Jack “Goose” Givens, airs 90 minutes prior to all games on UK Sports Network affiliates and is also available through the UK Athletics app. A stream of the show is also available on UKathletics.comand on the Kentucky Basketball Facebook page, where fans can ask questions and interact with Baker and Givens.
 
Once the ball tips, Big Blue Nation will continue to be guided through game action by The Voice of the Wildcats, Tom Leach and UK Athletics Hall of Famer Mike Pratt. The duo also host the Ruoff Mortgage Wildcat Wrap Up postgame show, where they are joined each game by a UK basketball player and head coach Calipari. Keith Elkins is the studio host.
 
The Kentucky men’s basketball team will play Mississippi State on Thursday in the SEC Tournament after finishing the season 8-9 in league play. Game time is set for noon ET (11 a.m. CT) at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The winner of the UK-MSU matchup will get top-seeded Alabama on Friday at noon ET. That game would air on ESPN.
