CATSPY Awards Set for Virtual Presentation
LEXINGTON, Ky. – With coaches, student-athletes and staff unable to gather in person to celebrate a banner 2019-20 season in UK Athletics, the 18th annual CATSPY Awards presented by Kentucky Farm Bureau will move to a virtual format next week on BBN Live presented by eCoach.
Winners of each prestigious award will be announced daily at 3 p.m. on BBN Live starting Monday. Awards will be announced according to the following schedule:
- Monday, April 27 – Community Service, Scholar-Athletes of the Year, Academic Teams of the Year
- Tuesday, April 28 – Bill Keightley Assist, Scratch, Supporting Role
- Wednesday, April 29 – Rookies of the Year, Blue Heart, Heart of a Wildcat
- Thursday, April 30 – Elite Performers

Winners, along with other special guests, will join each episode of BBN Live to accept their awards. BBN Live, which UK Athletics launched on March 30 to connect fans with their favorite teams and coaches after the 2019-20 season was cut short, airs each weekday on UK Athletics’ official Twitter (@UKAthletics) and Facebook (Kentucky Wildcats) accounts.
Inspired by the popular ESPY Awards held each year by ESPN, the CATSPY Awards feature individual and team honors, chosen from UK’s 22 varsity sports.
