Kentucky (27-23) will conclude its home schedule on Tuesday, before venturing to face Missouri in the final three-game series of the 2015 season. UK has clinched its school-record tying fourth consecutive Southeastern Conference Tournament berth, equaling the 1993-96 teams, which will begin on Tuesday, May 19 in Hoover, Ala.

The Wildcats are coming off a four-game week, starting with a midweek loss to No. 2 Louisville on Wednesday, before suffering a series setback vs. Georgia on the weekend. UK won the opener, 6-2, before suffering a 12-3 loss on Saturday and a 6-1 10-inning loss in the rubber match after taking the game into the ninth with a 1-0 lead.

Northern Kentucky (17-30) is coming off a series sweep at Florida Gulf Coast. The Norse have hit .276 as a team with 228 runs in 47 games, belting 27 homers and stealing 53 bases. NKU has fielded .961, turning 48 double plays and throwing out 15 runners. On the mound, NKU has a 6.30 ERA in 405.2 innings, striking out 251 and walking 200.

The matchup with UK and NKU is the fourth of the 2015 season, as the two teams scheduled an impromptu three-game series on week four after UK’s schedule four-game set with UMass was cancelled due to wintery weather. UK swept NKU with a 6-0 win, a 7-6 series clincher and a 9-4 win in the finale.
