No. 12 Kentucky to Battle No. 19 Arkansas in SEC Road Opener
LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 12 Kentucky (4-1, 1-0 Southeastern Conference) is set to make its 2020 SEC road debut at No. 19 Arkansas (0-3, 0-1 SEC) on Friday at 7 p.m. ET, live on SEC Network.
The Wildcats are fresh off consecutive 196-point performances and four straight victories, including a top finish (196.375) in the first quad meet at Memorial Coliseum since 2017. In the wins over North Carolina (194.625), NC State (194.425) and Lindenwood (193.300), Kentucky senior Mollie Korth took home the all-around title with a 39.400 showing last weekend.
Josie Angeny outright claimed the beam crown (9.925) in her last outing, while fellow sophomore Arianna Patterson tied for the vault win (9.875). Korth split the floor victory (9.925) with Ella Warren and Raena Worley, who was named the back-to-back SEC Freshman of the Week last Tuesday.
Kentucky and Arkansas last met head-to-head on Jan. 14, 2019 when the Cats took down the Razorbacks 195.275-193.875 in last year’s rendition of Excite Night at Rupp Arena. Kentucky has not lost to Arkansas since 2016.
