- Kentucky is now 1-0, while Mount St. Mary’s is 0-1.
- This was the season opener for both teams.
- Kentucky is now 42-4 all-time in home openers and 38-8 all-time in season openers. UK has won 11 straight of each.
- Kentucky is 824-540 all-time, including a 449-157 mark in Memorial Coliseum.
- This was the first all-time meeting in women’s basketball between Kentucky and Mount St. Mary’s. The Mount’s men’s basketball team will also play in Lexington this season, facing off against Kentucky MBB at Rupp Arena later this month.

- Kentucky led 15-12 at the end of the first quarter after a slow start on the offensive end. UK went just 7-of-20 from the field in the first 10 minutes, while The Mount went 4-of-12 and 2-of-5 from 3.
- Kentucky had four turnovers in the first 10 minutes and The Mount scored four points off those miscues.
- Five of Kentucky’s seven made field goals in the first quarter were assisted.
- After Mount St. Mary’s tied the game 18-18 midway through the second quarter, UK went on a 9-0 run to open up the lead before Mount St. Mary’s hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to end the quarter with UK up 27-21.
- UK shot 12-of-35 in the first half, while The Mount went 7-of-25 from the field and 5-of-15 from 3.
- UK went 5-of-15 from the field in the second quarter.
- UK forced Mount St. Mary’s into six turnovers in the final 5:03 of the half.
- Kentucky’s 27 points in the first half was its fewest in the first half against a non-conference team since it had 21 against Virginia last season inside Rupp Arena.

Sophomore guard Rhyne Howard played a team-high 31:29 and scored a game-best 14 points with 11 rebounds, five assists and five steals.
- The double-double for Howard was the sixth of her career.
- Howard has scored 10 or more points in 27 of her 33 career games played.
- This was the seventh career double-figure rebounding game for Howard.
- Junior forward Tatyana Wyatt started and scored 10 points with five rebounds adding a block.
- Wyatt has scored in double figures 16 times in her career.
- Senior guard Jaida Roper scored 13 points going 3-of-3 from the field, 1-of-1 from 3 and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line.
- This was the 14 career double-figure scoring game for Roper.
- Roper’s 13 points were two off her career best.
- Senior guard Sabrina Haines scored seven points with eight rebounds.
- Haines’ eight rebounds were a UK career high and one off her collegiate career high she earned at Arizona State.
