LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats men’s tennis team will make its 2015-16 debut Friday morning in Charlottesville, Virginia, where four members of the squad will play in the UVa Ranked 1+1 Invitational from Sept. 18-20.
Kentucky enters the tournament following senior Beck Pennington and sophomore William Bushamuka both being named among the top 125 singles players in the nation earlier this week. No. 39 Pennington and No. 90 Bushamuka will both play singles this weekend and will pair up to play in the Blue Doubles bracket. Sophomore Trey Yates and freshman Austin Hussey will also compete in doubles, playing together in the Orange Doubles bracket.
The Wildcats return the entire 2014-15 team this season while adding freshmen Ryotaro Matsumura and Hussey to the fold.
