Team Records and Series Notes

• Kentucky moves to 23-5 on the year and 10-4 in the league while LSU is now 16-10, 7-7 in the SEC.
  • Kentucky won its 10th league game for the ninth time under head coach Matthew Mitchell.
• LSU leads the all-time series against Kentucky, 33-17, including a 12-8 mark in games played in Lexington.
  • Kentucky has won five of the last six games in the series.
  • UK won the first game of the season against LSU, 64-60 in Baton Rouge back in January.

• UK is now 821-537 all-time in its 45 years as a program.
  • Matthew Mitchell is in his 12th year with the Wildcats and holds a 279-122 record. Mitchell is 309-151 overall in 14 years as a head coach.
• Kentucky is ranked No. 16 in the Associated Press Top 25 and No. 17 in the USA Today/Coaches Top 25.
• The Wildcats are on a six-game winning streak in the SEC, which is its longest conference winning streak of the season and the longest of any team in the league currently.
• Kentucky honored its senior Paige Poffenberger, LaShae Halsel, Taylor Murray and Maci Morris pregame. UK has won 13 of its last 16 on Senior Day.
• The Wildcats will return to action Thursday vs. No. 21/22 Texas A&M at 7 p.m. ET inside Memorial Coliseum. The game will be broadcast on SEC Network+, while Darren Headrick will have the call on radio on the UK Sports Network.

 
Team Notes

• Kentucky used the starting combination of senior guard Taylor Murray, senior guard Maci Morris, freshman guard Rhyne Howard, senior forward LaShae Halsel and sophomore forward Tatyana Wyatt.
  • The Wildcats are 010 with those starting five this season.
• Both teams started slow offensively with a combined 11 turnovers in the first quarter (UK 5, LSU 6). Kentucky led 12-6 at the end of the first quarter shooting 5-of-12 from the field, while LSU was 2-of-14 from the field and 2-of-6 from the free-throw line.
• Kentucky outscored LSU 16-9 in the second quarter and took a 28-15 lead into the break at halftime.
  • Taylor Murray led Kentucky with 10 points at the break sitting 5-of-5 from the field.
• The Wildcats went up 34-19 with 7:44 left in the third quarter before LSU answered with a 9-2 run over the next 2:14 to cut UK’s lead to 36-27 with 5:40 left in the quarter.
  • Kentucky stopped the run with a timeout and jumper by Morris.
• Kentucky held a 50-34 lead early in the fourth quarter before LSU ended the game on a 18-5 run. During the run, UK was held without a field goal for the final 8:14 of the game missing its last nine shots.
  • LSU outscored UK 20-12 in the fourth quarter and 37-29 in the second half.
• UK shot 36.7 percent from the field while LSU shot 36.4 percent.
  • The Wildcats are 16-0 this season when shooting a higher percentage than its opponent.
• Four Kentucky players scored in double figures for sixth time this season. UK is 6-0 in those games.

 
Player Notes

• Senior guard Taylor Murray led Kentucky with 18 points adding three assists and two steals. 

  • Murray now has 1,310 career points and ranks 20th all-time in points scored. She needs 8 more points to tie Bria Goss for 19th with 1,318. 
  • Murray has 427 career assists which ranks sixth most in program history. She needs 15 more to tie Stacey Reed for fifth all-time in program history.
  • Murray has 272 career steals which ranks tied for fifth most in program history. She needs six more steals to move into the top five in program history.

• Freshman guard Rhyne Howard scored 12 points with five rebounds and two steals.

  • Howard has scored 450 points this season which ranks third most by a freshman in a season in program history. She needs 41 more point to tie A’dia Mathies for second. She needs 191 more points to tie Valerie Still for the program record.
  • Howard has hit 66 3-pointers this season, which is the most ever by a true freshman in a single season in program history.
  • She has 61 steals, which ranks third most by a freshman in program history.
  • Her 182 rebounds is sixth most in program history for a freshman, needing three more to move into the top 5 on that list.
  • Howard has 10 or more points in 22 games this season.
• Senior guard Maci Morris scored 10 points with two assist and two steals.
  • Morris now has 1,630 career points, which ranks sixth most in program history. She needs 160 more point to tie Makayla Epps for fifth all-time in school history in points scored.
  • Morris has 242 career 3-pointers made which ranks second in program history. She needs 29 more 3s to tie Sara Potts for most all time.
  • Morris has hit at least one 3-pointer in 105 of 125 career games played.
• Sophomore forward Tatyana Wyatt scored 12 points with five rebounds going 5-of-6 from the free-throw line with two blocks.
  • Wyatt has scored 10 or more points four times this season and 11 times in her career.
  • Wyatt has now led UK in rebounds twice this season.
