No. 12 UK Looks to Conclude Regular-Season in Style v FIU
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky will welcome Florida International to The Bell with plenty at stake on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
With a win or draw Kentucky can clinch its first Conference USA regular-season championship outright. Kentucky has already ensured at least a share of the title, and the top-seed in next week’s C-USA Tournament.
As part of Kentucky’s last regular-season home match seniors Callum Irving and Kristoffer Tollefsen will be honored as part of Senior Day prior to kickoff.
The match will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
The setup
Kentucky enters Saturday’s fixture at 11-3-2 (6-0-1 C-USA) this season. The Wildcats have won 11 games for the first time since 2009, and the 13th time ever.
The Wildcat’s No. 12 ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll is a school-record.
Johan Cedergren has led UK to 10-win seasons two years in a row, and in three of his four years at the helm of the program.
Kentucky has the eighth best goals-against average in the nation at .059 goals per game. The Wildcats have conceded 10 goals in 15 games this season, two in the last six matches and one in conference play.
The opponent
FIU is (9-5-1, 3-3-1 C-USA) this season.
The Panthers have the ninth best scoring offense in the nation with 40 goals this year a clip of 2.22 per game. Those numbers lead the conference.
UK is 7-3-1 against FIU all-time. The away team has won each of the past three meetings, with UK winning 1-0 last season in Miami in a match where Justin Laird converted the game’s only chance inside 10 minutes to play.
The logistics
Gates will open at 6 p.m.
As part of senior day festivities the first 150 fans in attendance will receive Senior Day vuvuzelas.

Kentucky’s 600-plus season ticket holders can wear their 2015 Kentucky Soccer scarves to gain admission.
Kentucky has welcomed a record 15,907 fans to men’s soccer games at The Bell this season, an average of 1,591 per game, which has given the Wildcats one of the best gameday atmospheres in the country.
Parking for the match is first come first served located outside the stadium’s main entrance. Overflow parking will be available above the soccer practice
