Track & Field Announces Fall 2015 Signees
Kentucky added nine standout athletes during the fall 2015
National Letter of Intent signing period.
Five women and four men make up the group of signings.
Six states and the District of Columbia are represented in that group. Three of
the signings hail from Kentucky.
Kentucky’s women’s signing class has been rated in the top-10 by Track &
Field News each of the past three years, including the rankings released
earlier this month.
The group has a collective 12 high-school state championships, 11 All-America
honors and four college conference titles.
The individual signings are described below.
Claire Crosby
Two-time Louisiana State Champion on the track … Won the Louisiana Silver Medal
in cross country this year (2015).
Nicole Fautsh
The MSHSL section champ in both the shot put and discus … As
a junior at the Minnesota state she placed in the fifth in the discus … As
a sophomore and junior at the state meet she placed in the to-three …
Nicole’s PR of 45’9” in the shot put ranks among top 20 in her class in the
nation.
Faith Ross
Five-time Virginia Champion (multiple times in the 100m hurdles, 300m hurdles) …
2015 high school indoor and outdoor All American … Ranked amongst the top-five
best 400m hurdlers in the nation and top-15 in the 100m hurdles
Dowdy
A top distance runner in the
region … Won the 2015 State cross country championship and 3,200m title … Placed
third his freshman and sophomore years in the state 3200m championships and won his
junior year
Tanner Dowdy
Like his brother, a top runner from this region … Five-time state medalist in
Kentucky
Brennan Fields
A
nationally competitive middle distance runner … As a Junior he won the
Kentucky State Cross Country meet … Went on to be runner up in the State 1600m
on the track … His time of 4:11 placed him among the nation’s best junior 1600m
athletes at the time … With 1500m – 10000m competitive range on the track and
shown success on the cross country course Brennan should make an immediate
impact for UK
Daniel Roberts
A
nationally ranked 110-meter and 300m hurdler … In 2015 as a junior, Daniel
won the Georgia 4A state titles in the 110 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles and
triple jump … His best performance of 2015 in the 110m hurdles was 13.40w which
he achieved at the outdoor New Balance National Championships where he finished
second and had the fastest time in the country for a junior … Other personal
bests include 36.97 in the 300 meter hurdles and 47’10.5″ in the triple
jump
Kiah
Seymour
2014 NACAC 400m hurdles champion … Three-time USA
track and field National championships qualifier … Eight-time NCAA All American
… Four-time Big Ten Champion (indoor 400m and 400m hurdles)
Caitlin Shepard
A rapidly improving long distance runner from Illinois … Finished ninth in
the 3A division at the State Meet in a very fast 16:52 for three miles
